An Inside With Our Special Education Teacher

My name is Savannah, and I've been working at Bridges Employment Services and Training for about three years, running our summer program for the past two. I am currently pursuing a degree in Special Education and will excitingly graduate this December.

One of my favorite and most rewarding parts of my job, and working with persons with disabilities in general, is watching everyone accomplish their individual goals. Every person, regardless of their ability level, has something important to contribute to the world. I think the work we do here is so important because we provide our clients with a way to be included in the workforce and community, just like everyone else. My hope is that my students past, present, and future will live in a world that values them for exactly who they are and gives them the space and resources they need to thrive and live as happily and independently as possible.
